CHART READING -TECHNIQUES



Horoscope reading guided mostly by experience rather than bookish knowledge. So it is a very tough job for newly students of astrology. In fact, due to the difference of experience, horoscope readings always differ man to man.
I am assuming that you have already read three previous part pages (basics of astrology, casting horoscope, applied astrology). Else, you may not understand this one properly.

True Facts:
  As we know that the daily movements of planets are slow (except Moon). If we take Moon also, in 2 hours, it moves nearly 1°. So if two persons born in 1 or 1/2 hour difference, there may not be change in planets position in Horoscope. And in most case, house position or house lord, that will be same. But these lives will not be same. This means according to traditional method Horoscope will be same. Then how can you differentiate these two charts?

So due to this slow movement of the zodiac, a horoscope drawn up during a certain time would be valid for all people born around that time. The unique character of it would be absent. Hence, in order to make astrology more personal, a local element was introduced in addition to the cosmic elements. This local element is called house.
We know that in this 1 or 1/2 hours, the degree of house cusp will far change. In one hour, it will change 15° or in 4 minutes 1°. So it is important each and every degree of house cusp in a chart. What will happen in case of birth twins? Same formula will be applicable in twin’s charts. House-lord will not change. But lives will be different. So you can understand that main thing is not the lord of house but the house cusps that are connected to different planets by different aspects.

As we have seen earlier, there are 12 houses (house cusps) in a chart. But they are not span of degrees. People have a misconception about house. Suppose, if ascendant point is in Cancer, 2nd house will be at Leo and 2nd will be at Virgo and so on. But it is not always true.

What I want to say is, in one sign there may be two house points. Possible in one sign, there may be no house. They are actually different points in chart. These houses are very sensitive and important points in any Chart.
Now I will give you some idea about chart reading. Normally, there are three aspects of a typical prediction.
1) Will I achieve it? (Yes/no)
2) How will it be?
3) When will it happen (may be bad or good)?

I will give u step-by-step process you have to follow.

Astrological Details:
                                 Time is always very important in Astrology. Accurate time is necessary for accurate prediction. If there is 5 min error, there will be more than 1° difference in house cusp. May be, it will not change the Ascendant sign or MC sign but it will hamper your prediction. Some of the planets may be one degree away from a cusp or close to it. Because, every planets has its own orb of effectiveness.
Take a example, ASC-20° Leo, mars-23° Leo and take mercury-18° Leo. Now, if there is 1° error (if ascendant moves 1° back). So as a result, ascendant will be more influenced by mercury. The person’s personality will be cute in nature (less influenced by mars aggressiveness). So, That is why, it is important to have a correct time of birth. Here, we saw the importance of orb. Maximum range of this orb is almost 8° for both side of house cusp. But according to a well-known Western astrologer RAPHAEL, orb should be 1/3 of house difference for conjunction. Means if house-difference is 30° (Normally, it is more or less then 30°), then orb will be 10°. But I have seen that if a planet is 10° away from any house then the result is very weak or void of affect.
 Like, House - Planet combinations, there are another side Planet-to-Planet combinations. For any two planets (if they are in aspect) then the range of orb that we should consider, is less than before. It is 6 to 7° in both side of any planet. For sun it can be taken little bit more 7-8°.

1st is there any hope to get it?
If a planet, suppose Sun connected to 2nd house, one will be a rich person. I will get something or not, depends upon the connection of planets. There is another misconception about planets that mars and Saturn are malefic. Practically, no planets are bad or good. They are the indicator. Good or bad depends upon the nature of aspects. If aspects are 90 or 180 or 150° then it will be bad or trouble. Else, it will be benefic.

2nd about its characteristics, like - which type of job or how will be my husband?
Job type depends upon the strength of the indicator planet, sign occupying and respective house (10th house). In same manner, we can assume about the character of husband and also others.

3rd is timing of the events (off course, if 1st answer is yes)?
There are different system for finding the timings of any events. Progress chart, dasha or planetary phase and K.P system and also Transit. In my opinion transit gives you best clue of any event. Transit over any radical (by birth) planets is not important. But transit over the different house cusp is very important. For any successful prediction you must use the transit system. Experience will give you more depth and confident in this subject no doubt.
