Basics Of Astrology

For who are the beginners in this subject, my advices to them are always to go for the basic fundamentals of astrology. This includes the symbols and names of the planets and the signs. Planets are total 9 including, Sun, Moon and 2 imaginary point Ascending node (Rahu) and Descending node (Ketu). Different angles between these plenets produce different results. Suppose, if angles are 60 or 120 degrees, they produces good results. If they are 90 or 180 , then they gives bad results. These angles are called aspects. Mainly 6 aspects are there (0, 60, 90, 120, 150, 180). Signs are 12 in number. These 12 Signs are: - Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces.

PLANETS:

The Moon, which returns to the same place in the zodiac in about 27.32 days. The Moon represents our feelings and emotions infact our mind and mood.

Venus - Venus gives us a sense of the enjoyment, sociability and controls relationships. Harmony is lead by Venus. It controls our sex organs.

Mercury - Mercury represents Instability and fluency of our mind. Our Communication is lead by Mercury. It controls our nervous system.

Sun - Orbital Period: 365.25 Days, Sun represents the core of a person. It also describes vitality and health. It represents King and leader in a state.

Mars - Mars represents the energy, aggression and enthusiasm. It controls blood in the body.

Jupiter gives us hope, faith and spiritual inclination. It represents law and justice of our society. It controls the liver of our body.

Saturn - It gives us the powers of endurance. It also gives us the ability to self control and concentration. It controls stomach in our body.

Uranus - It represents the unknown, unusual matter and sudden disaster.

Neptune - It gives us intuition and imagination. It controls the ocean in nature.

Pluto - It represents super - power or atomic power. It controls revolution in society.

Rahu - It gives us unsatisfation. It create a expectation to get more and more. It represents sin and all illegal works.

Ketu - Ketu represents intuition, hyper - sensitivity and hidden matters.

ZODIAC:

This ecliptic circle is divided into twelve equal parts, called Signs, which, counted from the vernal equinox, are as follows:- Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces. If we imagine, all different signs are around us. They are arranged in a typical manner 30 degree for each sign, total 30 x 12 =360 degree. These signs are almost fixed or stable. ***

Astrological definations:
1. Celestial Equator
The celestial equator is a circle that cuts the celestial sphere into two equal halves, with respect to the poles. It lies above the terrestrial equator.
2. Ecliptic
The ecliptic is the annual path of the Sun, with respect to the stars, as seen from a geocentric perspective. The plane of this great circle always makes an angle of 23.5° with the plane of the celestial equator. This tilt is of great importance, as it is responsible for the seasons on Earth

HOUSE:

Basically, the sky around an observer is divided into twelve parts, and these are termed houses. The lines separating the houses are called cusps. The point that rises at the eastern horizon is termed the Ascendant (Asc). The point that sets in the western horizon is termed the Descendant (Desc). Right in between them, is the Medium Caeli (MC), opposite to mc is called Imum Caeli (IC).
Signs are fixed but houses are movable due to the Earth's axial rotation.
